AI FOR PEACE AFRICA ACADEMY
The AI for Peace Academy trains peace practitioners, security personnel, interested individuals, institutions and policymakers to understand, question and responsibly engage with artificial intelligence.
Courses
AI for Peace, An African Perspective An individual module designed for self paced learning, examining artificial intelligence through the lens of African peace and security realities rather than imported frameworks. Duration, five hours.
AI for Peace for Peacebuilders and Institutions An intensive, in person course designed for organisations and institutions working directly in peace and security. Participants engage collectively with case studies, governance frameworks and applied exercises relevant to their institutional context. Duration, one week.
YOUTH, AI and ART for Peace
Youth, AI and Art for Peace engages young people through creative expression, using art to explore the relationship between technology, identity and peacebuilding, and to build cohesion ahead of periods of heightened tension.
Ways to Partner
Partner with the Programme Organisations and individuals may support the programme through training delivery, in kind contributions or sponsorship of specific activities and cohorts.
Art Centres Art centres and cultural spaces are invited to offer venues and equipment in support of training sessions and youth engagement activities.
PeaceTech Innovations
Through PeaceTech Innovations, we design and build practical AI tools for peacebuilding, in partnership with individuals and companies who share our commitment to technology that serves peace rather than harm.

ANNUAL AI FOR PEACE AFRICA SUMMIT
The AI for Peace Africa Summit is our flagship annual convening, bringing together researchers, policymakers, technologists and peacebuilders to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping peace and security across the continent. The 2027 edition builds on this tradition, offering a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange and partnership across sectors.
