About the Summit

The AI for Peace Summit 2026 is a flagship initiative of AI for Peace Africa, dedicated to advancing dialogue, innovation, and policy on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, peacebuilding, and governance in Africa.

The Summit convenes policymakers, peacebuilders, technologists, researchers, and youth innovators to reflect on how AI can be ethically and inclusively deployed to strengthen resilience, enhance governance, and prevent conflict in fragile African contexts.

Anchored in continental and global frameworks — including the African Union's Agenda 2063, the Continental AI Strategy (2024), and the UNDP Renewed Governance and Peacebuilding Framework — the Summit affirms Africa's leadership in shaping ethical AI governance for peace and human security.
